"Further the dates were adjusting with everybody's plan. Abhinav's script was ready and he was rearing to go," adds the maverick filmmaker. Ask him if he was ever miffed with Abhinav grabbing the chance and Anurag says, "On the contrary, Abhinav is like a brother who will always say 'bhaiya aap pehle kaam karlo as you are elder to me'. He has always been like that." Anurag further vouches for his brother and recalls the time when Abhinav stood by him. CHECK OUT: Anurag Kashyap - Dibakar already predicted SHANGHAI's fate"People, today, come to me and commend on my work and my journey in the industry. Had it not been Abhinav I would not have reached this far. The family responsibility, the different emotional responsibilities that you need to fulfill I had none of them as Abhinav took care of it. He just told me pursue what you are pursuing I'll take care of everything. I had not been to Banaras, my hometown, single time in these 8 years. I didn't go anywhere, I didn't attend any funeral, weddings or fulfill any sort of social commitments. I just focused on films. The day DEV D became a hit he said now you take rest I'll make films. So that's the contribution of my brother in my life. People can speculate anything," says the doting brother, Anurag Kashyap. Meanwhile Anurag is gearing up for his upcoming film GANGS OF WASSEYPUR, which releases on 22nd June 2012.
