1920-EVIL RETURNS is not a sequel to 1920!

One of the surprise hits of year 2008 was Vikram Bhatt's horror flick, 1920, starring rank newcomers, Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma. And so the next edition, 1920 - EVIL RETURNS, starring Aftab Shivdasani and Tia Bajpai obviously becomes a keenly awaited films. The film marks the return of both Aftab Shivdasani and Tia Bajpai to the Vikram Bhatt banner with Aftab having worked with Vikram in KASOOR, and the multi talented Tia Bajpai fresh from the super success of Vikram's HAUNTED 3D!

There were quite a few speculations regarding 1920-EVIL RETURNS with most people assuming that the film is a sequel to 1920. So we decided to contact lead actress Tia Bajpai and clarify a few things regarding the film.

When we asked Tia if 1920-EVIL RETURNS was indeed a follow up to 1920, she replied in the negative saying, "No, it is not a sequel to 1920. Yes, it is a franchisee and obviously like 1920, the genre is the same (horror). The story is totally different."

We queried Tia further for the reason for year '1920' featuring in the title of both the films and she revealed, "Actually the problem is, whenever there is a talk about a horror movie everyone thinks that the story will be similar, and one will just be scared and terrified. But that is not the case here. I have also worked in HAUNTED 3D and so I can tell you that every horror story/film is different. As far as your question is concerned 1920 - EVIL RETURNS is set in the year 1920 and that is why the title. But I am afraid I cannot tell you the exact story."

With the commercially successful 1920 being one of the favourite satellite horror flicks as well, we are sure that the benefits will accrue to 1920-EVIL RETURNS as well.
