Ayushmann takes beauty parlour lessons for VICKY DONOR

A lot is said about actors getting under the skin of their characters for their films. But VJ Ayushmann Khurrana did just that in quite the literal sense for his forthcoming film VICKY DONOR.

The comedy that takes a light hearted look at the taboo attached to infertility and artificial insemination sees Ayushmann aka Vicky play a donor cum beautician. For this the actor had to get trained in local parlours.

Confirms a source, ''In the film Ayushmann plays the son of a lady who owns a parlor and who doubles as a beautician when not on donor duty. To get the hang of it, Ayushmann got trained under professional beauticians for the role, learning some basic beauty courses -threading, manicure, pedicure et al.''

CHECK OUT: John- VICKY DONOR will lend credibility to sperm donation

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film marks the acting debut of VJ turned actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who plays a Punjabi cricket player cum sperm donor in love with a Bengali girl, played by television actress Yami Gautam.

Produced by John Abraham, Eros International's contemporary comedy VICKY DONOR releases on April 20, 2012.
