Sriram: I couldn't complain about Saif!

With just a few days to go before the release of his latest spy thriller, AGENT VINOD, the very down to earth and media shy director Sriram Raghavan seems to be at ease.

While speaking about his film, its characters and his experience of working with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor we could notice that the director was totally engrossed in his project. So we decided to catch him off guard and ask him an unconventional question- How difficult was it to deal with the offbeat Saif of EK HASINA THI, and the out and out commercial Saif of AGENT VONOD? And he replied quite patiently, ''The only reason I got this film is because Saif and I have worked together in EK HASINA THI. We share a common love for the Bond series, Sergio Leone Westerns and Clint Eastwood thrillers like DIRTY HARRY, and so on. In that sense we have a comfort level. We do have arguments and stuff, but all for the film.''

When we queried him further, and whether he had any problems while working with Saif and Kareena, Raghavan ended the topic with a very humorous answer, ''Since Saif is the producer of AGENT VINOD, the only problem that I had was that if the actor comes late, I can't complain to the producer!''

Well, seeing Raghavan's track record we are sure that there will be no complains when AGENT VINOD releases all over this Friday, instead he will be showered with all round accolades not only from the critics but also the paying audience.
