Abhay Deol: Watch SHANGHAI without preconceived notions

It seems Abhay Deol is not only making the audiences shower praise on his latest mustached act in SHANGHAI but even his friends and girlfriend Preeti Desai is much praise for the actor too.

It is not an unknown fact that Abhay had to work hard to look convicting in his Tamilian character in SHANGHAI. So much so that he spotted moustaches and even took lessons in getting the accent right. After all the hard work, Abhay has conquered the heart of millions and his lady love through the initial glimpses of his character.

Speaking about SHANGHAI, Abhay says, ''It was a great experience working on this film. Though I was a little hesitant about spotting moustaches earlier, but while shooting it all went well with the character. I believe actors with moustaches have been showcased before but the way Dibakar has handled this character is truly praiseworthy.''

CHECK OUT: Emraan got no attention on SHANGHAI set!

And what about reports of conflict with Emraan while shooting for the film. Abhay out rightly denies such reports of any cold way between them and sums up his act in these words, ''For me, It is not easy to explain my role. It isn't so clear-cut as to be labeled a black, blue, grey or white role. I want people to watch the film without preconceived notions.''

Dibakar Baneerje's SHANGHAI releases on the 17th of June 2012.
