"Let's see how the character is placed in the story", says Irrfan in a guarded tone, "There is no point talking about it now when I am yet to see the final cut. I can talk about those films that I have seen. However THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is still a little while away. Let's see how my role shapes up in the final edit."

And how about THE LIFE OF PI? "I have a lot of work remaining for the post production of the film w.r.t. voiceovers etc. Well, that film should release by end of
year. Guess we will have to wait."

There is not much wait expected for his Bollywood outings though as he returns to familiar zone with SAHEB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER 2 where he joins hands with friend and director Tigmanshu Dhulia. After making waves with HAASIL and PAAN SINGH TOMAR, one expects the duo to ignite fireworks all over again with the sequel to a story that has much been loved by the audience.

"I really like Tigmanshu's thinking process for the sequel. To think about it, till a few weeks before the release of PAAN SINGH TOMAR he was talking to me about some other film he wanted to make with them. When I casually asked him about the sequel to SAHEB BIWI AUR GANGSTER, he just told me that he was still working on the script. Then one fine day he just came and told me that he had a pleasant surprise for me in the form of SAHEB.... sequel. I loved the character he explained to me and I was on", says Irrfan.

In the film, Irrfan plays a jilted royal out for revenge.
