From Salman to Akshay, Prabhu Deva brings on action

What's common between WANTED and ROWDY RATHORE? Well, other than the fact that both have been directed by Prabhu Deva, they have also brought to
fore the action avatar of Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar who were otherwise dabbling with different genres over last few years.

''Salman wasn't really enjoying a great run at the box office before Prabhu Deva's WANTED changed the game for him. He hasn't looked back ever since. Similarly for Akshay too it was an average couple of years before he decided to rope in Prabhu for ROWDY RATHORE. In the meanwhile he has enjoyed his third success in a row with Sajid Khan but Prabhu's film should now take his stocks further high'', comments an industry insider.

Still, after WANTED, many may have thought that Prabhu would continue to liaise only with Salman for the time being. However the fact remains that the director didn't face any obstacles when swinging towards Akshay's side.

Says Prabhu Deva, ''Salman is a gem of a person and very special for me. He was my first Bollywood hero after all. He is the king of heart.''

CHECK OUT: Akshay Kumar to search for 'real rowdies'

When asked to compare him and Akshay, he says, ''Both are great personalities actually so there is no comparison. A non-interfering person, Akshay is a thorough professional. Also, what I like about him is that he always thinks from the producer's perspective and never wastes any time and money. He is a delight to work with.''

Now it has to be seen whether Prabhu Deva moves on to another actor after ROWDY RATHORE or pairs up again with either Akshay or Salman.
