Though the debutant was very much in news till about a few months ago, the 'Dan Dan Dan' act of Nathalia came on the forefront and took over the promotion. However Madhu continues to be as fascinated about playing the role of a female gangster as she was when she started working on it.
''I have to be. After all, it is a very influential character and indulges in a lot of action. When audience would see the film, they would know,'' says Madhu who has acted in quite a few films down South in the past.
Looking at some of her snippets that have been shared from the film, seems like she is playing quite an aggressive character in the film. ''Yes, it is pretty intense and aggressive. I have never done anything like this before,'' she lights up here, ''I am being this bad girl who is quite shrewd and cunning. It is a dominating character who is the thinking brain behind a lot of drama that takes place in the film. There are also a lot of negative shades and audience would be surprised as they don't see such characters every day. Guess you can't get a bigger platform than DEPARTMENT to make a mark in Bollywood and I grabbed the opportunity with both hands as soon as it came my way.''
