Reema Kagti: Aamir never stepped on my toes or forced me to do something

Reema Kagti's directorial venture TALAASH - THE ANSWER LIES WITHIN boasts of a versatile stellar cast and crew like perfectionist Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, who are known to have an eye for detail. And when such creative minds & stalwarts come under one roof discussions & interferences are bound to happen.

So, probe Reema with the presence of Aamir, Farhan & Zoya, who themselves are established filmmakers, how much of intervention she had to face and how much liberty she enjoyed as a director and she says, ''They used to come up with ideas but it was always my decision & choice and if I felt that it would fit into my vision then I would take it...Be it Farhan, Zoya or Aamir they are very conscious that I am directing a film. So whenever they gave me any ideas they were very respectful of about it.''

But ask her if she would get stuck and needed right assistance whom would she access first and Reema says, ''Depends on what I am confused about. If it was production matter I would possibly consult Ritesh, if it was something to do with script or direction I would probably speak to Zoya or Farhan...I, in fact, bounced a lot of things to Aamir because I am very obsessive about films and keep talking constantly...In fact, Zoya at one point of time asked me to stop (smiles)...But Aamir is equally obsessive about films and never said muje nahi sunnna hai whatever I would tell he would be all ears to it..Aamir and I can talk endlessly about films''

But there were reports stating that Reema and Aamir had creative differences and, as we all know, when it is Aamir at the helm his involvement is always there. However, Reema time and again cleared the air about Aamir and once again maintained that, ''There were no creative differences...There were lot of inputs but he never stepped on my toes or force me to do something. Similarly, with Farhan and Ritesh or Zoya. I had my authority and they were respectful of me being a director.''

In fact during the music launch event of TALAASH Aamir went on to say that he quite followed Reema Kagti. When confirmed with Reema, she added in a light vein, ''He blindly followed me or not I don't know but he followed me that I can vouch for.''

And there's no doubt about it as Reema is quite adamant by nature. She wont easily budge since she is particular about her work. ''I can be quite adamant if I want a thing to be done in a particular way or order,'' reveals the stern director, Reema Kagti.

Also starring Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji TALAASH is all set to release on 30th November 2012.
