SON OF SARDAAR director unhappy with ongoing tussle

Even as Shahrukh Khan has excused himself from the 'tamasha' surrounding the battle between the release of JAB TAK HAI JAAN and SON OF SARDAAR and the battle is being fought between the production houses of Ajay Devgn and Aditya Chopra, one man who is extremely unhappy with the state of affairs is the director of SOS, Ashwani Dhir.

''This was supposed to be the biggest moment in his career but all he is doing is hearing, reading and discussing things around the court cases, theatre count, unfair practices and some ugly to and fro comments. In the days when he would have preferred to revel in the release of his biggest film till date, he is seeing some nervous and anxious times instead that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual content that he has put together for his 50 crore budgeted film,'' says a source close to the director.

No wonder, he is heard telling friends that he is feeling seriously bad about how the turn of events has been. Instead of being happy about getting the final copy of the film in hand and feeling elated, he is anxious to know about its theatrical release.

On contacted, Ashwani didn't deny that he was a little disturbed but held back from letting his emotions do the talking. He said, ''We have got a good film in hand and I am actually enjoying what I see. Of course I want to feel high but then right now the whole 'mahaaul' is such that there is unnecessary pressure. This was definitely not welcome.''

Gathering himself, he added, ''Anyways, it is there and we have to fight it out as well. We are waiting for Diwali to have a good release. I am aware of what is happening and I am standing by Ajay in whatever decision that he takes. The driving seat is occupied by the production house and I have to adhere to that. Even otherwise, I am following them because I believe what they are standing up for is indeed correct.''
