Subhash Ghai signs Mithun Chakraborty for KAANCHI

Subhash Ghai signs Mithun Chakraborty to play a stellar role in his directorial venture KAANCHI. The film due to go on floor on 13 January, 2013 with new star cast and Rishi Kapoor in a villainous turn with the music being composed by Ismail Darbar and Salim-Suleiman and lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

''Mithun is one of the most talented actors of Indian cinema but he has never played a character like in Kaanchi. The way it has been conceived is extraordinary and he will enhance that. We can share details of this character only just before release and not now,'' said Subhash Ghai.

A musical love story KAANCHI is set to release on August.
