Vivek Oberoi: GRAND MASTI has a lot of fresh ideas

While Vivek Oberoi is looking forward to an eventful year ahead with JAYANTA BHAI KI LUV STORY, a romcom, being his first release of 2013, another film of his which is expected to do really well is GRAND MASTI. Indra Kumar is directing the film at a rapid pace and for the trio of Vivek, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, it has been fun unlimited right through its shoot.

One wonders though whether the film is a true blue sequel with same characters starting from exactly the same situation where they left in MASTI. Or is the film basically carrying forward the franchise?

'Well, the boys are all the same and their mannerisms take a cue from where they left in MASTI but the characters they are playing and the problems they are facing are different. This one has a lot of fresh ideas and would be as contemporary as it gets,'' says Vivek.

Other than 'JAYANTABHAI...and GRAND MASTI, there is another film of his, ZILLA GHAZIABAD, which is complete now. Also, there is a small budget film that Vivek has given his consent to.

'It is a very intense tale while being a complete entertainer. It would be announced in a couple of month's time. Also, I am committed to another film with TIPS. I am extremely happy with what I have on my plate currently and coming year is looking really busy. Touchwood,'' smiles Vivek before signing off.
