Salman Khan is larger than life again in DABANGG 2

DABANGG 2 is all set for release in less than a month from now and it is hardly surprising that as a character, 'Chulbul Pandey' doesn't quite need any introduction since it has already been established amongst audience in a big way for last couple of years. One is tempted to ask producer-director Arbaaz Khan that as a team which is basically taking the legend forward was it about sticking to the basics for what had already worked in a major way? Or was there any endeavor to bring in some newer traits as well?

'We are true to that character. Period. However what I can say is that Salman Khan won't look like someone who was seen in READY, BODYGUARD or EK THA TIGER. In DABANGG 2, he is 'Chulbul Pandey' and that's the way things are going to be. Yes, from setting perspective it is a new scenario which means a new approach has to be drafted towards presenting Chulbul in this situation. Now that by itself is challenging because you have to keep the sanctity of the character right and still not give to audience what may seem like a repeat of what they have already seen,'' details Arbaaz.

He goes on to promise that DABANGG 2 would live up to its title and have everything that goes with larger than life image of Salman Khan.

'There is everything in the film that audience would expect from their 'dabangg' hero. The film by itself has a larger than life setting while Salman too would be seen as a larger than life character. You would see heroism and all that is Chulbul Pandey's trait. How could I not give that to audience,'' Arbaaz asks a rhetorical question.

Of course Arbaaz, that would indeed be a bare minimum expectation from DABANGG 2 and Salman Khan.
