How CHITTAGONG is different from KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY

While KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY was centered on Abhishek Bachchan with others, especially kids who play an all-important role in the film, in the background at some level, the case is different in CHITTAGONG. Though Manoj Bajpayee continues to be the central protagonist and the driving force as Masterda, it is kids who are on the forefront.

"Yes, I along with other senior actors are all in background while the foreground is captured the children. That is for a reason and pretty much in accordance with the written script which is simply fabulous," Manoj perks up here, "In any case, I have always been confident of the quality that director Bedabrata Pain had promised to bring in the final product. As for the performances, I was confident that we would all get it right. You have seen many of us (Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Raj Kumar Yadav, Jaideep Ahlawat) already in GANGS OF WASSEYPUR so you can well imagine."

Talking about the sheer premise of CHITTAGONG, Manoj adds, "This film is more about the story of a child who feels left out because he is not part of the movement led by Masterda (i.e. himself). While all his mates make fun of him due to this very reason, he takes his own journey from being a non-participant to someone who is completely in the thick of affairs. In this film, Masterda is not in the centre of affairs, it is instead the child who is and you catch the revolution through his eyes."
