ENGLISH VINGLISH and KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI

Last week saw the release of two films, Vivek-Mallika's Sanjay Khanduri directed KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD) and Gauri Shinde's Sridevi starrer ENGLISH VINGLISH. While there was little to choose between the two films as far as the opening day collections were concerned, thanks to a stupendous performance by Sridevi and the media patronage for ENGLISH VINGLISH, and the unduly harsh negative reviews for KLPD, the weekend saw EV scoring over KLPD and becoming the clear winner. ENGLISH VINGLISH is also doing very well in the overseas (great in the US) grossing £167,000 from UK and $745,500 from the US during the opening weekend (5-7 October).
