Reliance Entertainment's MAKKHI garners widespread acclaim!

True love definitely goes beyond any language, borders & even humanity! An innovative film based on a fly's revenge for love has been well appreciated not only by critics and the industry but the masses as well!

Reliance Entertainment's MAKKHI which released on 12th October 2012 along with a host of other highly anticipated Bollywood and Hollywood releases is attracting substantial collections at the box-office across the country, faring better than the other said releases!

Telugu blockbuster film EEGA aka MAKKHI in Hindi is a live action animation film based on the revenge of a superfly. It is said that the visual effects in this live action animation movie is at par with some of the biggest blockbusters in Hollywood!!

The film without having any star backing had created a lot of buzz pre-release amongst Bollywood celebrities as well as trade pundits who have been continuously congratulating Director SS Rajamouli on the innovative concept that he has come up with.

The release of MAKKHI has not only generated a lot of word mouth appreciation with the audiences but it has also established trends with its innovative marketing and promotional activities. For the first time in the history of Indian Cinema a full length film has been shown to select audiences and media across 30 cities of the country, that too 7-10 days prior to its release!

These screenings were held not only in metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru but also cities such Pune, Ahmedabad, Indore, Nasik, Nagpur, Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur and even places such as Amravati, Shimla, Kanpur, Gorakhpur amongst several others.

Having successfully reached to an audience in 1103 screens in India with its Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions, the film's Hindi release has further augmented its reach nationwide!

MAKKHI is a creation by one of India's ace Director S.S Rajamouli who has not only given blockbusters throughout his career span of 12yrs but has also had his films remade into highly anticipated Hindi projects! What's more, MAKKHI's Telugu version EEGA was also shortlisted as the official entry for the Oscars!

MAKKHI is the story of Jani (Nani) and Bindu who are in love but never communicated their feelings to each other and continue to enjoy their unexpressed love. Sudeep, a billionaire and a powerful businessman gets attracted to Bindu and wants to own her for his pleasure, but he realizes that she is in love with Jani, which upsets him. When Bindu wants to express her love to Jani, Sudeep murders him. Jani is reborn as the fly and attempts to fight Sudeep's proceedings towards to Bindu, but his efforts go in vain. The fly convinces Bindu that he is Jani and they team up to take the revenge.
