Shahid Kapoor to play a cop in Neeraj Pandey's film

It seems now Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is quite smitten by the cop drama. Shahid Kapoor in his next film with Neeraj Pandey for the first time ever will be seen donning a police uniform.

Shahid is all set to play the character of a cop which he has never played before and is working towards it to get into the skin of the character.

Shahid, who was greatly applauded for his double role in the film KAMINEY, has always been known for giving the audiences unique variety in terms of his characters and roles in the films.

With an extremely hectic schedule lying ahead of him, Shahid will be the first male star from the gen-next in Bollywood to enact the khakhi uniformed cop.

The anticipation of seeing Shahid as a cop in a film gets doubled with Neeraj Pandey being at the helm of affairs as he is known for making a film in this genre with great aesthetics. Having given a well acclaimed film A WEDNESDAY in 2008, director Neeraj Pandey's strength lies in filming cop genre films brilliantly.

Shahid, with all the versatility, which he inhibits, will be seen juggling between edgy films this year. Before he starts shooting as a cop for Neeraj Pandey's film, he is going to be working on Prabhudeva's film NAMAK and Tips' next venture PHATA POSTER NIKLA HERO starring Ileana D'cruz opposite and being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Looks like the KAMINEY actor is gearing up to break his own heights of acting par excellence!
