Prem Raj: I had to figure out my life after MAMK

It was exactly three years ago when Prem Raj had made a debut that could have been a dream for most out there. With Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor at his disposal, the young filmmaker had put together MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA, a film that couldn't really succeed at the box office. There was of course a jolt followed by a period of retrospection. However now that he is ready with ISHKQ IN PARIS with Preity Zinta, Prem is sounding far more stable and content and much less tentative than his earlier interactions.

"After MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA I had to figure out my life and contemplate hard about the kind of movie that I had to make. When I look back, ISHKQ IN PARIS has been just the right decision," smiles Prem while also reaffirming that he has put all negatives behind and has now moved on.

With an experienced actress like Preity on board, Prem is making sure that the film exceeds expectations.

"It is a responsibility to make any film and ultimately at the end of the day if it doesn't do well, it's the writer and the director to be blamed," says Prem, "My script should be very important and so the choice of actors who would be enacting the characters written by me. An actor should not be picked up because he/she is mainly a face. That makes me all the more responsible."

With Rhehan Malliek in lead along with French actress Isabelle Adjani in a special role and Salman Khan in a cameo, ISHKQ IN PARIS releases all over on 5th October 2012.
