Mahesh Bhatt: RAAZ 3 is horror for our detractors

With RAAZ 3 turning out to be a success, it has only ended up being nothing less than a poetic justice for Bhatts who were ridiculed by some sections of the media when their RAAZ [2002] released a decade ago.

''That time too we had opened to mixed reviews. In fact this critic at a leading national daily mentioned that the film didn't even deserve a review. I remember being called for an interview and react on that episode. All I did was say that I felt pity for the publication since they had a critic on board who didn't know his job and was so disconnected from audience of our country. The film was a huge success, the critic is nowhere to be seen today and we are still making films 10 years down the line. Doesn't that say a lot,'' questions Mahesh Bhatt.

Notwithstanding the criticism that may have come the way of his production house for churning out films that have sex and shock value managing to create some good hype and hoopla time and again, Mahesh Bhatt goes on to add in a lighter vein, ''I guess more than RAAZ 3 just being a horror film in itself, it is also a horror story for all our detractors. As long as the audiences are happy and these know-it-all people are horrified, I will continue to make such horror movies.''

It may just be a while for that to happen though since Bhatts' next outing is a sweet-n-romantic tale AASHIQUI 2 which is expected to be the 'cleanest' film coming from the production house.
