AIYYAA & TALAASH to make Rani Mukerji the queen again!

That Rani Mukerji was once the undisputed queen of Hindi cinema is a fact known to all who have an active interest in Bollywood.

With the advent of the new generation actresses, and her own self-imposed exile (for a while), Rani's stardom did suffer a bit of a setback but she made a resounding comeback as the firebrand journalist, Meera Gaity in NO ONE KILLED JESSICA. And it appears that by the end of the year 2012, Rani Mukerji is all set to reclaim her position at the top. The two films that will see Rani making a mark are AIYYAA and TALAASH - THE ANSWER LIES WITHIN.

Talking about AIYYAA first, there are certainly high hopes resting on this film as it is a joint production of maverick filmmaker Anurag Kashyap (who is riding high since the super success of his GOW series) and Viacom 18. The film can be called a solo Rani Mukerji starrer as there is no top lead actor from Bollywood in this film. Agreed that it stars Malayalam super star, Prithviraj, but he is not a known face amongst the Hindi film audience. As is evident from the highly entertaining promos that the film showcases Rani Mukerji's abundant acting prowess and especially the up till now untapped comic talent that one never knew Rani possessed. So, if this film strikes rich at the box-office, which it should in all probabilities, Rani can take a bow and accept full credit for its' success.

Last but not the least is Excel Entertainment's TALAASH, which is a destined to succeed film as it stars none other than the perfectionist Khan, Aamir himself. One can see from the promos that Rani Mukerji is matching the super actor step-for-step, and the two together will surely provide some fireworks when both the hugely acclaimed and accomplished actors come face-to-face on screen and woo the audience with their scintillating performance.
