Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt turns actor

Most of the time filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt receives calls from aspiring actors, actresses & new directors who want a break in his banner's films. But recently he received a call from a debutante director who wanted him to play a cameo in his film as film maker Mahesh Bhatt only.

The name of the film is FUTURE TO BRIGHT HAI JI, which features Aamir Basheer and Sonal Sehgal in the main lead, and is a romantic comedy. And the director of the film is Sanjay Amar, who has made a couple of documentary films in the past.

Since Mahesh Bhatt did not know the director Sanjay Amar at all, he asked him to come over to his office. Sanjay went to his office and narrated him the one line of the film, and also briefed him about his small, but very important role in the film.

Then Bhatt Sahab, as he is fondly known as in the film industry, demanded that once he wanted to go through the entire script of the film, only then he will take a call. Sanjay provided him the bound script of the film.

Soon Sanjay received a call from Mahesh Bhatt that he liked his concept and would like to support him in his venture by acting in it.

No wonder Sanjay was besides himself. And recently Mahesh Bhatt shot for his cameo for the film.

Says an elated Sanjay, "I have been a fan of Bhatt Sahab since my childhood & have seen his all films till date.

It is an honor for me that he agreed to play an important cameo in my very first film. He is so generous and encouraging! I shall always be grateful to him! "
