Nostalgia is a part of the growing up psyche, nostalgia associated with songs, cinema or other such nuggets and it becomes a real challenge when one wants to re-create the magic more than a two decade after an element of nostalgia has been created around a song. The song in question which had stirred the consciousness of the nation and was the main reason why HIMMATWALA starring Jeetendra and Sridevi had become such a hit is 'Naino Mein Sapna, Sapno Mein Sajna'. Sajid Khan, who is remaking HIMMATWALA and has taken Ajay Devgn to play the role enacted by Jeetendra in the original film, has released the iconic song to create possibly the same buzz around the film, and to attain the audio nostalgia he has roped in Amit Kumar to sing the song sung by his father in his original film. However, Amit Kumar is not able to create the sense of gay abandon in the song that his father Kishore Kumar had done when he sung the original song and Shreya Ghoshal is a pale shadow of effervescence that Lata Mangeshkar had created in the original version.
