MURDER 3 & JBKLS dull to poor, SPECIAL 26 rock steady!

This Friday saw the release of Vishesh Films' next in the MURDER franchise, MURDER 3, and Tips Music Films' JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY.

The two releases were never expected to set the box-office on fire, but the below par opening was somewhat of a letdown. While the Randeep-Aditi starrer MURDER 3 managed an opening in the range of 25-45 percent, Vivek-Neha's JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY was lower at 15-30 percent (both on an all India average).

However all is not lost and both the films have a chance to improve during the coming weekend.

Meanwhile last Friday's Neeraj Pandey directed Akshay Kumar starrer, SPECIAL 26, saw rock steady weekdays and ended the first week netting 39-40 crore (to be validated) from India. The film was also received quite well on the second Friday.

The other release of last Friday, Prabhudheva's ABCD-ANY BODY CAN DANCE, also put up a spirited performance netting 26-27 crore (to be validated) during the first week from India.
