Rani Mukerji plays journalist in BOMBAY TALKIES

Rani Mukerji came in to limelight with Karan Johar's KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI. Their association has always been fruitful, so much so that Karan regards Rani as one of his lucky mascot. Both Karan and Rani have been great friends ever since and also have shared a long professional relationship.

After last working in KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA (2006), Rani is back with Karan Johar for his next release BOMBAY TALKIES. Rani will be seen playing a journalist in BOMBAY TALKIES. Rani also essayed a journalist in NO ONE KILLED JESSICA. She got umpteenth accolades for her performance in that film.

Karan Johar is confident she will pull it out really well after all the actor gets into the character for every film of her's.

CHEKC OUT: Rani-Randeep play married couple in Karan Johar's BOMBAY TALKIES

Rani and Randeep Hooda, play a married couple in the film. BOMABY TALKIES marks 100 years of Indian cinema and will release on 3rd May 2013.

Official film spokesperson confirms, "Rani will be essaying the role of a journalist in the film. She is paired opposite Randeep Hooda. The duo is sharing screen space for the first time.''

Adds source, "Rani was briefed on her character nuances by Karan Johar and she effortlessly got into her character."
