BOMBAY TALKIES: Karan Johar ropes in MERE DAD KI MARUTI actor Saqib Saleem

Saqib Saleem, the young Delhi chap will be seen in a lead role in, MERE DAD KI MARUTI. Even before his film released, Karan Johar was impressed with the lad and signed him for his upcoming next, BOMBAY TALKIES.

Karan Johar saw a few rushes of the film and he was sure Saqib had spunk. Karan was keen to cast him in his film. While working on the casting of BOMBAY TALKIES, Karan suggested Saqib's name and when he auditioned for the screen test, he fit the bill perfectly.

In MDKM, Saqib plays the role of a notorious son who steals his father's car which is a Maruti, and somehow loses the car. Karan liked the way Saqib emoted and was sure he has the ability of becoming a star.

Karan also praised the actor on the micro blogging site. He wrote, ''Saqib, "The young and talented @Saqibsaleem is working with me on my short film with Rani and Randeep...#bombaytalkies...give him love people!!"

Saqib is now associated with two big banners - YRF and Dharma. He has two big films in his kitty, both releasing in the same year- MERE DAD KI MARUTI releases on 15th March and BOMBAY TALKIES on 3rd May 2013.
