SAARE JAHAAN SE MEHNGA: How Sanjay Mishra pulled off a drunken driving scene?

Not knowing how to drive a vehicle can come very handy for actors to give a realistic performance. Sanjay Mishra, who is playing the character of 'Puttan Pal' in upcoming film SAARE JAHAAN SE MEHNGA... produced by Ashok Pandey, is one such actor, who preferred to use his inability to his advantage.

It so happened that Sanjay was required to enact a scene of drunk driving on a motorcycle. Director Anshul Sharma gave him the brief while Sanjay kept nodding his head. Once the camera went rolling, he gave a perfect shot and it was okayed in first take itself.

''The way he was driving with so much hesitation, wavering of scooter, sudden jerks of the vehicle, his look of utter concentration on the road ahead - everything was so perfect. He looked completely drunk and out of control. We assumed that he might have had few pegs to make it look so authentic. But once we reached him he told us that he did not know how to drive a motorcycle, hence such clumsy driving. And he was very scared that he may fall any time and injure himself. Everybody had a big laugh,'' comments actress Pragati who is playing Sanjay's wife 'Noori' in the film.

However, later he learnt to drive it. ''I had to learn because in the film this is my regular mode of transportation. Anshul kept telling me 'next scene mein aapko motorcycle par jaana hai' every second day,'' smiles Sanjay Mishra.

''This was very funny, the way he would look at motorcycle before starting it. But he is very sporting and learnt it in two days,'' adds the director Anshul Sharma.

After making successful film PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA Revel Films are now ready with SAARE JAHAAN SE MEHNGA... The film features an ensemble star cast like Sanjay Mishra, Pragati, Ranjan Chhabra, Disha, Vishwa Mohan Badola, Zakir Hussain, Sitaram Panchal, Paritosh Sand and Pramod Pathak.

Produced by Ashok Pandey and Directed by Anshul Sharma, the story is written by Rupesh Thapliyal & Vijay Manral. Music for the film is given by Manish J Tipu and lyrics are done by Naveen Tyagi. Marketing Head is Bhavesh Thakkar.

SAARE JAHAAN SE MEHNGA is set to release on 8th March, 2013.
