
Bollywood box-office report of the week

We have already talked about the stupendous and record breaking opening weekend of Arbaaz Khan's Salman, Sonakshi and Prakash Raj starrer, DABANGG 2. The weekdays too proved to be very steady. Given the fact that the Khans are self-distributing the film in Bombay (Thru Steller Films Pvt. Ltd.) and in Delhi-U.P. & East Punjab (in partnership with Yash Raj Films Distributors), as also in Rajasthan, C.P. Berar and C.I. So it is a win-win situation for Arbaaz & Co., especially if one adds all the other earnings (satellite, overseas, video and Doordarshan, and the remaining circuits of India) that are already in the bank for them!

Netting close to 102.50 crore during the opening week, DABANGG 2 is on way to a blockbuster status.
The film is on way to be a super hit (bumper in US) in the overseas with more than $ 7 m, grossing £738,800 from UK and $2,200,000 from the US till the second weekend (28-30 December).
