Chitrangada Singh: My character in INKAAR is not a victim

Even though in her upcoming release INKAAR, Chitrangada Singh is playing the part of a woman who claims to be going through sexual harassment at the workplace, she claims not to be playing the victim card in the film.

''Maya isn't someone who is playing a victim; she is standing up for what is right. She and Rahul (Arjun Rampal) are equal characters here and INKAAR by no means is a predictable film,'' she says.

The film deals with the relationship that Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh share for seven years. While she is an intern to begin with, she moves up the ladder, learns politics of the workplace, slowly sobers down and then makes choices around what she wants to do in life.

''She may have choices but then a man's ego may not allow that,'' sighs Chitrangada, ''This is the reason why she is fighting her own battle since not even women in office stand by her. After all, no one wants to lose a CEO of the company. She deals with all of that and more and in the process quite a lot of facts are thrown in.''

We would love to check out those facts and more once the film releases all over on 18th January, 2013.
