Irrfan Khan-Tabu starrer LIFE OF PI - Biggest Hollywood grosser of 2012

Ang Lee's LIFE OF PI which released on 23rd November in 2D and 3D in English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu across theatres has achieved the status of the biggest Hollywood grosser of 2012 bagging an astounding Rs. 90 Crores (Gross collections; Rs 63 Crores Net), and is still running to packed houses across India!

Fox Star Studios' LIFE OF PI's unprecedented success has seen it sail past the highly popular superhero flicks THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN and THE AVENGERS to earn the top spot for the year and is leading various awards nomination which has been announced till now! (Golden Globes (3), BAFTA (10), Producers Guild Of America)

The Oscar front runner has far exceeded all expectations, overcoming perceived obstacles such the story being popularly called 'unfilmable', its cast a complete unknown with its main lead Suraj Sharma a debutante, LIFE OF PI being Ang's first 3D film and a CGI tiger that is almost impossible to differentiate from a living creature!

What's more LIFE OF PI has also reinforced Fox Star Studios' significant domination in the Hollywood market with 3 films in the elite top 5 Biggest Hollywood Grossers list of all time. (AVATAR, LIFE OF PI & TITANIC). LIFE OF PI is now placed on the 3rd spot behind AVATAR and 2012.
