Farhan's FUKREY follows Abhishek Kapoor's KAI PO CHE!

Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Kapoor may have exchanged a handshake post the success of KAI PO CHE!. However there is more in the offering. Close on the heels of the surprise success of the year, Farhan is now almost ready with his own bromance affair FUKREY. The film is all set for a Summer release and just like KAI PO CHE!, this too is the young-at-heart story of an all-boys gang

"Call it coincidental but just like ROCK ON!! and KAI PO CHE!, even FUKREY has a young male cast coming together in a coming of age affair,'' says an observer, 'While KAI PO CHE! was promoted as a film that came from the house of RANG DE BASANTI and ROCK ON, FUKREY has the legacy of DIL CHAHTA HAI , ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA and (of course) ROCK ON pushing its cause.'

To be fair to FUKREY, the film was announced quite some time back and it is just coincidental that it is in news when KAI PO CHE! is making waves.

'In fact the shooting of the film is almost through as well,'' a source adds, 'Yet again it is a non-star cast affair and features the likes of Pulkit Samrat (Bittoo Boss), Ali Fazal (ALWAYS KABHI KABHI) and Manjot Singh (OYE LUCKY! LUCKY OYE! ).'

With KAI PO CHE! finding its place in the hearts of the audience, especially the ones frequenting multiplexes, it would be interesting to see how Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani market this Mrigdeep Singh Lamba film which again targets the same audience.
