Deepika Padukone amazed by her YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI director Ayan Mukerji

Deepika Padukone can be expected to be perky and energetic practically every time one interacts with her. The lady hasn't changed one bit from her OM SHANTI OM days. She may have done a male oriented CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA in the interim period or delivered a career defining performance in COCKTAIL. However the spunk in her voice and the love for movies has been uniform all throughout.

The same holds true now, even as she began 2013 with a 100 crore successes in the form of RACE 2 and now has YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI as her immediate next release. With the film seeming like yet another fun entertainer from the house of Karan Johar, one is tempted to ask Deepika how her director Ayan Mukerji has gone ahead with the film after making a rather niche WAKE UP SID!.

"As a director he is very versatile and talented. I loved WAKE UP SID and now with YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, I am amazed to see what this boy can do at such a young age. Yes, it is a fun and young love story while definitely being very different from what Ayan has done before,'' says Deepika with genuine fondness in her voice

Talking highly about the youngster who is also a close friend of hers, Deepika adds, "Ayan is one of the best directors our country is going to have. From making a simple slice of life film at the beginning of his career, he has taken up the responsibility of making a huge film like this. What you would end up seeing on screen would be indeed different."

We would know when the film releases all over on 31st May.
