He is yet to complete the shooting for his next, BADLAPUR. However, Varun Dhawan fears that it would raise quite a few eyebrows when it would be ready for release. While he promises that audience would be shocked with the Sriram Raghavan directed thriller, he even fears that the film may see some chops from Censor board.
''While it is a known fact that the film is a psychological thriller with Varun enacting different parts spanning across generations, not many know that its subject and theme is really dark. Nothing like this has ever been attempted before not just in a Hindi film but any other Indian film for that matter. Rest assured, a lot of people would be shocked to see its content. The first ones in this list could well be Censor Board members and for Sriram and Varun, there would be a lot to explain,'' informs our source.
Though no one is talking as yet about specifics of the scenes and the sequences that may face Censor Board ire, it is pretty much being established that BADLAPUR would be truly different from rest of its clan.

When quizzed about his role in the film, Varun saud, ''All I can reveal for now is that the film is absolutely fresh and very new to Indian cinema as a whole. Since we have chosen an unconventional subject, we are going all out with it with an unabashed approach. I just hope that none of the scenes get cut by the Censors. Beyond that, it is too early to divulge much though I have to admit that it has been a great ride so far since my role is truly challenging and radically different from whatever I have done so far.''
He is happy to be finding himself in the company of Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vinay Pathak for the film.
''It is a wonderful ensemble cast out there; it is a bunch of outstanding talent. I am happy to be associated with them all,'' smiles Varun before signing off.
