Rani Mukerji opened up about her ‘good friend’ Preity Zinta at the first trailer launch of MARDAANI.
Preity Zinta has filed a complaint against her ex-boyfriend and her Indian Premiere League team Kings XI Punjab's co-owner Ness Wadia for allegedly outraging her modesty during a cricket match at the Wankhede Stadium last month.
'Preity and I are very good friends. She is going through hard times. It is difficult for Preity to go through hard times. The only thing I would like to say that her case is under investigation and it is a very personal thing as she has taken up against a person she has known for long time. But I think this (MARDAANI trailer launch) is not the right platform for us to talk about her case,' stated Rani.
She further expressed, 'Normally, I don’t like to comment on other people’s life or anything because I think it is not right. Nonetheless, she is a colleague of mine and a great person. We have worked together in four films. Preity used to tell me always that we both should get married in the same mandap so that our wedding will be super successful like our films. However, I beat her in that, but I am waiting for her to get married. I think that would be a wonderful news.'
Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji's MARDAANI directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, is all set to release on August 22, 2014.
