PFH Rave Productions'Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne' is making waves to appear in theaters. This romantic
flick launches Sanjay Khan's heir Zayed Khan opposite cute Esha Deol. Esha is desperately
looking for a hit these days (as she faced three flops in the past namely Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche,
Naa Tum Jaano Naa Hum and Kya Dil Ne Kaha), which she does see in Chura Liyaa Hai
Tumne. Zayed too seems pretty confident that the film would do well at the box office. And like brother in law
Hrithik Roshan, he also would love to rule over the entertainment industry with his impressive western style
and magnificent fighting skills. The promos of the film portray the same on the screen these days. Sangeeth
Sivan who has also directed Sandhya (which is yet to release as well) is the director of this show,
CLHT. Three lyricists come together to pen the lyrics for this flick. They include Sudhakar Sharma,
Sanjay Chhel (who has also directed and written lyrics for Khubsoorat and Kya Dil Ne Kaha)
and Jay Verma respectively. The soundtrack composed by Himesh Reshammiya emerges as an
average album. Whereas Sony Music fulfills the duty to release this album. And the album has 5 main songs
with a remix of one and an instrumental of another making 7 tracks in total. These songs have been picturised pretty
well. The foreign locales are beautiful and eye-catching.
The soundtrack unzips itself with the title song, 'Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne'. Rendered by Shaan
(who is developing a distinctive style day by day) and Alka Yagnik, the track is soft with romantic lyrics. The
composition by Himesh registers a good impact on the listeners. Whereas Shaan and Alka's crystal clear
renditions lift the song to the heights.
'Don't You Love Me Baby' is the next track of this album. Delivered by Shaan and Alka Yagnik,
the number is ear-friendly and melodious. The pair does better by singing it perfectly in their respective styles. The
duo also reminds us the era of old melodious songs. The lyrics are not very well penned but above average. The
composition is rhythmical. The number would stay for a longer period of time with the listeners and sink in the hearts
soon.
Next comes in, 'Mohabbat Hai Mirchi'-a true item number (as these types of songs are well in demand these
days), which makes the listeners dance to the beats. Shaan again pockets this track and pairs up with
Gayatri Iyer (who has previously sung Maar Gayo, a hot track in Sandhya-a film, which is yet to
make waves on the theaters) to render this catchy number. Shaan seems much different in the song, as he adopts
a very innovative style here in this track. Lyrics are appropriate and do personify the mood of the song accurately.
Whereas the composition is excellent. In total, the track is a reflection of a successful number and no doubt can fetch
many awards in future. The remix version also emerges as a hot number but does not prove its mettle.
'Boys Are Best' lands up at the runway of this soundtrack with good amusing lyrics and energetic composition.
Shaan teams up with the electric voiced singer Sunidhi Chuhan to deliver this jolly number. Both the
singers do true justice to their respective jobs. But the fact is that these types of songs do not last long. The same
case would happen with this track.
The soundtrack showcases next an instrumental track with a love theme to entertain the listeners. It is certain that a
lot of effort must have gone into producing this instrumental number.
'Dil Hai Mera' finishes off the soundtrack having Mahalaxmi and sharp-voiced singer Udit
Narayan doing the honors. Singers' duo Udit and Mahalaxmi deliver the song brilliantly well. Lyrics are average
whereas the music also accompanies the lyrics as well as the singers in an appropriate manner.
On the whole, the soundtrack of 'Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne' is average but certainly lives up to the expectations
of music lovers and has a hearing effect on the people who have an ear for music.
