One of India's premier music company and now a top production house as well with many back to back hits, T-Series' (led by head honcho Bhushan Kumar) next offering is CREATURE 3D. And with director Vikram Bhatt at the helm of affairs, one expects nothing short of chartbusting music from the team. Tried and tested and ever reliable composer Mithoon and young and talented Tony Kakkar are entrusted with the task of helming the music, so let's check out whether these gen next musicians deliver as per expectations.
Tony Kakkar provides a chartbusting start to the album with the supremely melodious love ditty, 'Sawan Aaya Hai
' and guess who is the singer? It's none other than the magical Arijit Singh who weaves his spell once again (in fact he is making it a habit!) with a superlative rendition. Simple tune, simple lyrics and of course, the lovely orchestration (flute is heavenly) make for a superb composition.
Tony Kakkar's unplugged version of 'Sawan Aaya Hai
' makes for a good repeat here but Kakkar's rendition pales in comparison to Arijit's masterly one.
'Sawan Aaya Hai
' remix is tastefully done although one prefers the original for obvious reasons! CHECK OUT: Who's that 'Creature' protecting Bipasha Basu?
Mithoon's outing; 'Hum Naa Rahein Hum
' harks back to the Nadeem-Shravan and Anu Malik days of yore as melody reigns supreme. Benny Dayal does a good job, although someone like Javed Ali or even Sonu himself would have done more justice to this slightly difficult to render number, which is sung in many different pitches. Lyrics inspired by Guru Dutt's classic 'Waqt Ne Kiya
' is the highlight of this sure-shot hit romantic track.
'Hum Naa Rahein Hum
' remix follows the tried and tested path making the song more club or dance oriented.
The sad, separation 'judaai
' in fact, 'bewafaiyee
' number (by Mithoon) aptly titled, 'Naam-E-Wafa
' is rendered superbly by Farhan Saeed and Tulsi Kumar, almost unplugged. In parts, especially 'mukdha
' is inspired by 'Tum Hi Ho
' and the rest follows Nadeem-Shravan trademark tune. But overall the song is surely a chartbuster.
The remix version with heightened pace and added beats and synth may find limited appeal.
Saim Bhatt's youthful, fresh and strong vocals and rock orchestrations are the highlight of Mithoon's 'Ik Pal Yahin Tera Mera
'. The remembrance-cum-romantic number has some nice situational and simple identifiable lyrics. CHECK OUT: CREATURE 3D songs lyrics
The highly versatile all in one, composer-singer- lyricist, Mithoon, comes in with 'Mehboob Ki
', a nice rhythmic number that lays emphasis on how very important it is to have a beloved in one's life. Albeit the tune that Mithoon chooses is oft heard, and one can decipher a hint of 'Citylights
' from the tune. The signature tune, harmonica adds a nice touch.
Summing up, T-Series and Vikarm Bhatt and also the whole team of CREATURE 3D need to be complimented for living up-to the expectations and coming up with a chartbusting as well as melodious outing. Our favourites are 'Sawan Aaya Hai
' and 'Hum Naa Rahein Hum
'. The chartbusting album (a turbo charger for the horror genre!) will surely help the cause of the film when it releases all over on 12th September.Music Review Rating Chart :-
