Aishwarya too enters with stars turning producers bandwagon with her maiden production Dil Ka Rishta, however she has given the reins in
hands of her brother Aditya Rai along with Shabbir Boxwala. The story is by her mother Vrinda Rai. Besides Ash herself, the movie has
Arjun Rampal, Lisa Ray newcomer Priyanshu and Isha Kopikar. DKR is directed by Naresh Malhotra, whose last
direction Kranti bombed at the box office. Music is by Nadeem Shravan and lyrics are penned by Sameer. The music is much hyped
and is considered to one of the best by the duo, however it's just the same like many romantic compositions of Nadeem Shravan.
The first song on the album is 'Saajan Saajan', which starts of with a throaty voice of Sapna Avasthi, which reminds us of the
Pardesi Pardesi of Raja Hindustani. After the start, Alka Yagnik takes over followed by Kumar Sanu. It sounds like a situational
number. One can expect something better from Sameer, but... As everyone has a song in 2 version, DKR is no special. Jaspinder Narula
renders the second version and she wins the race with Alka Yagnik.
'Haye dil' is a romantic duet by Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu (Nadeem Shravan's favourites). While the music and the lyrics are
nothing great, it is Alka Yagnik who steals the show with the voice. Overall an average song.
The title song 'Dil Ka Rishta' is again by Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu along with Udit Narayan. The song is best in the album.
Nadeem Shravan's simple music excels and so does the singing. Sameer's lyrics are just typical. This song too has her twin sister, which is a really sad
version. Babool Supriyo and Sarika Kapoor renders this number, which is equally good.
'Dayya dayya re' is a solo item number and as you guessed, the jhatka-makta's are by Aishwarya. Alka Yagnik rendered the song in her
usual manner with no innovation. The other elements music and lyrics too can't save the song. The only thing worth is the song would be Ash's dance and
it has helped it remain in the charts.
'Dil chura le' is another love duet by Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu. As Haye dil, the music and the pleasant voice of Kumar Sanu
& Alka Yagnik make this song an above average number. However none of the songs have a repeat value.
'Haste suraj ki' is a continuation of the title song and gets over much before one actually gets the feel of the song. The song is rendered by
Udit Narayan. Next in line is 'Kitna majboor ho gaya' by Kumar Sanu, again a short number… this song too is an extension of the title
song.
The album on the whole is just an average, except for the two romantic songs, which are just above average, however they too are not the kinds which you
remember the next day. Nadeem Shravan's music too is not innovative. Maybe you can skip this album and switch on to FM channels.
