Expectations are quite high from the audio of ace comic show host Kapil Sharma's debut venture, KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON, especially because it is a Venus Records And Tapes and Abbas-Mustan offering, who together have delivered chartbusting memorable music and super hit films!
It's a celebration number 'DJ Bajega To Pappu Nachega
' (Javed Mohsin) that kick-starts proceedings, and even though the rhythm is quite nice, the tune is very heard before. The fun, festive dance number that has a Mumbaiya (Marathi-Gujarati) flavour should appeal instantly to that belt. Wajid holds fort with a good rendition and is well supported by Shalmali Kholgade, Ritu Pathak and Danish Sabri.
It's almost the same case with the Punjabi flavoured dance number with Arabic music arrangements / influences, 'Jugni Peekey Tight Hai
'. The rhythm is good but the tune once again is too heard before (reminiscent of 'Kamli Kamli' DHOOM 3). Kanika Kapoor chips in with a professional rendition and Divya Kumar provides added support.
A romantic ballad, 'Samandar
', is a lovely composition with elegant lyrics. One must add that Shreya is excellent and Jubin Nautiyal's sweet vocals match up well to that of the neo- nightingale.
It's another fun dance trance number by Dr Zeus 'Bam Bam
' that should surely burn the dance floors of pubs and discos quite in the same corridor as 'Slowly Slowly
' and 'Manali Trance
' . Famous Punjabi singer, Kaur B's first debut (!) in Bollywood does a good job with the hero himself (Kapil) and Dr Zeus joining in.
The remix version of 'Bam Bam
' makes for an interesting repeat here.
Punjabi folk number, 'Baari Barsi Khatan Gayasi
' forms the backbone of the tune of the fun, humorous composition, 'Billi Kat Gayee
'. A situational number that provides a funny insight into marriage and its quandaries with the lead pleading to the almighty to have mercy on his unfortunate situation. Rajveer Singh provides the vocals and Ikka chips in with the Yo Yo type rap.
The remix version of 'Billi Kat Gyee
' (by Sickick) is innovative and fun repeat hear.
'Parbat Ke Peeche Chambela Gaon
' (MEHBOOBA) forms basis of yet another situational funny number, 'Hum To Latak Gaye
' rendered well by Kapil and it suits the script of the movie where the male lead is married not just once but thrice.
Summing up, the audio of Kapil Sharma's debut film does not quite match up to the standard set by directors Abbas-Mustan, as it lasts only till it plays. Even though KKPK is a comic venture, yet one must keep in mind the past where Abbas-Mustan's comic capers too have boasted of super hit music (BADSHAAH). Our picks: 'Jugni Peekey Tight Hai
' and 'Samandar
'. Having said that, one expects the audio to gain popularity after the release of the film on 25th September.Music Review Rating Chart :-
