Filmkraft Productions (Rajesh Roshan Productions) is back again with its new flick, Koi Mil Gaya. KMG would be carrying a different theme altogether, which might be the first of its kind in India. Rakesh Roshan also sharpens his skills of direction with this movie whereas brother Rajesh Roshan scores music for the songs. The movie has a big starcast and features the likes of Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Rekha in the lead roles. The story of KMG revolves around Hrithik in particular who has a mind of 10 years old kid. Renowned poet-lyricist Ibrahim Ashq bags maximum number of lyrics of the soundtrack whereas Nasir Faraaz and Dev Kohli play their respective parts too with KMG. Famous Music Company Sare Gama HMV comes up to release the album, which is laced with 8 tracks in total to entertain the ears of the listeners. The promos are very much on air these days on all usual satellite channels for the entertainment of the viewers, who are desperately waiting for the release of the film.

The album opens with a sweet song, En Panchiyon. The trio of Shaan, Kavita Krishnamorthy and baby Sneha render the number with much ease. The beauty of the song starts with the rhythmical tunes along with a soothing chorus followed by the immensely talented Shaan's impeccable vocals. Kavita too provides an ample support to him while singing her part perfectly. Baby Sneha showcases her head in singing accurately as well. Amongst other instruments, violin, jhankaar and drumming stick out. Lyrics are effective. Nasir Faraaz portrays his skills of poetry appropriately. The tunes arranged by Rajesh Roshan easily grow on all kinds of ears. Overall a good number to listen to.

Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik pair up to render the next song, Haila Haila. Udit Narayan seems as if he gets bored with singing and as a result presents completely average vocals here. Whilst Alka too renders her part ordinarily. Piano, dholki and dhol are much audible instruments in the background. Whereas background chorus is passable. Lyrics by Dev Kohli are routine, there is no innovation in it. Rajesh too follows his team and arranges below average tunes for the track. A plain average song to listen to only once.

Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala features the duo of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik as the lead vocalists of the number. The melodious song has perfect rhythm all the way. The best number on the album starts with soft rhythmical and pleasant music. Udit delivers his vocals perfectly whereas Alka plays with her vocals accurately too. The ups and downs of the singers' vocals raise the spirits. Background chorus attracts as well. Ibrahim Ashq, whose poetry has been sung by the ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh and intoxicated voiced ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas respectively in the past, showcases his class by penning the creative lyrics for this specific number. Rajesh Roshan's gigantic experience and talent is much visible through his marvelous and melodious composition. The song is currently running on all usual music channels now a days featuring Hrithik and Preity playing innocent games. The direction and the choreography deserve full marks. Overall the song is a delicious treat for music lovers.

An instrumental takes its place on the soundtrack next. Rajesh Roshan skillfully composes the track, which amuses the ears.

Taz (Stereo Nation) pockets the next track, It's Magic. The number starts with electric music followed by male vocals (Taz), which are plain average. Taz's singing seems very poor in the song. Ibrahim Ashq fails to raise the spirits of the listeners with his lyrics. Background chorus is just ok. Rajesh Roshan once again disappoints with his poor tunes. Overall it emerges as the weakest song of the soundtrack.

Udit Narayan teams up with Alka Yagnik to deliver a melodious number, Jadoo Jadoo. Udit impresses with his sweet voice whilst Alka lifts the spirits too through her attractive vocals. Background chorus registers a good impact. Amongst the instruments, dholki, shehnai, sticking, flute and drumming stick out. Ibrahim's lyrics depict their class accurately. Rajesh Roshan showcases his rich experience and skills through his well-composed music. The song will stay with the listeners for a longer period of time.

Adnan Sami and Alka Yagnik pocket the second version of Jadoo Jadoo. The soft and catchy music in the beginning emerges as the real beauty of the song. Amongst the instruments used by Rajesh Roshan flute, dholki and jhankaar sound perfectly. The genius and world-renowned piano maestro-composer-singer Adnan Sami (who is the first to compose Indian classic music on the piano in the world) wins the hearts of the listeners with his echoing and manly voice, which haunts the listeners whenever listened. Alka Yagnik too presents her magic with her vocals. Ibrahim Ashq pens philosophical lyrics, which amuse the listeners. Background chorus is simply well sung. Music by Rajesh Roshan is stupendous. The entire song truly represents Rajesh's camp. Overall the number deserves repeated hearings.

The title track, Koi Mil Gaya wraps up the soundtrack. The singers' duo Udit and Chitra catch the singing cord accurately. Together they both truly justify their respective parts with much ease and attract with their vocals as well. The song begins with a chorus, which is passable. A soft piece of music then follows the chorus. The song 's mood is based on romanticism. Ibrahim writes completely romantic lyrics, which impress the listeners. Rajesh Roshan knowing his onions scores brilliant music. The visuals of the song features Hrithik and Preity. The beautiful eye-catching locales are well captured and the direction is first rate. Overall the song is very easy on ears.

The album of Koi Mil Gaya could bag some awards in the days to come. The soundtrack is a treat to enjoy in all moods and deserves to be bought.

I think Udit Narayan is beyond compare, how can he be called ordinary or average. There is no one anywhere near him in contemporary Hindi film music. Of course, he never works hard for publicity or to gain favour with music directors or the press. He is simply the best.
