Produced by Time Movies, The Hero is very much anxious to come out to entertain a big lot of
Sunny Deol's fans. As the action-packed movies are the tradition of Sunny Deol's flicks, The Hero
completely and enthusiastically continues this ongoing tradition of Deol. Anil Sharma wears the hat of director
whereas Uttam Singh arranges the tunes (music) of this enterprise. Anand Bakshi (late) teams up with the
master of creative words, Javed Akhtar to pen the lyrics for the film. The Hero is fully equipped with a big
starcast ranging from Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta to Amrish Puri and Kabir Bedi respectively. A
big budgeted, The Hero is leaving strong impression on the audience on behalf of its promos running successfully on
satellite channels these days before its release. The estimation of budget is around 55 crore rupees. The big budget of The
Hero has broken all previous records. A renowned panel of vocalists delivers the song for this flick. Times Music Audio
fastens its seat belt to release the soundtrack of The Hero. The soundtrack, which has 5 tracks in total along with 5
other versions of the opening track, is making waves these days on satellite channels. The music of this show is average,
which does not evoke any kind of spirits of the listeners. Despite being a big budgeted movie, no attention has been taken on this genre.
Even the musician like Uttam Singh, who is considered to be the master of rhythmical tunes, just wastes his talent here with this
soundtrack.
The album unfolds itself with the track, Dil Mein Hai Pyar. The number is folksy and melodious. Delivered by Udit
Narayan and Jaspinder Narula, the track is very easy on ears and registers a good impact on the listeners. Both the
singers showcase their remarkable abilities to sing the song in an accurate manner. The chorus is beautiful as well. Lyrics are well
penned whereas the music scored by Uttam Singh is rhythmical. This number repeats 5 more times later on in the soundtrack.
Next yawns Tere Shehar Ka Kya Hai Naam. The track is romantic and melodious. The song might be a gift for the people who
have an ear for romance numbers. Udit Narayan pairs up with Alka Yagnik to render this song in an adequate style.
This pair of vocalists gets a good piece of momentum while delivering the song. Lyrics personify the theme well. Music is average.
Uttam Singh raises the spirits of the listeners to some extent.
Tum Bhi Na Mano makes waves having Hariharan and Alka Yagnik doing the honors. The opening portion of
the track is slow but as the song gets momentum, it mounts on smooth rhythm. Both the singers do true justice to their respective
jobs. Lyrics personify the mood accurately whereas the music is passable.
In Mast Nigahon Mein leaves its hat at outside and enters into the soundtrack passionately but unfortunately does not
register a good impact. Udit Narayan teams up with Sunidhi Chauhan to render this number. Having a good
amount of experience to their credits, both the vocalists do not succeed well in delivering the song as per the tunes. Lyrics are
average whereas the rhythm (composition) knitted (composed) by Uttam Singh fits well in the category of an average music.
Sardool Sikandar and Jaspinder Narula sharpen their skills of singing by rendering Mari Koyal Ne Aise
Cook. The song is ear-friendly and has a good impact on the people who have an ear and a taste for folksy type of numbers.
Together they both (Sardool and Jaspinder) manage the track rhythmically well. Full marks go to them for their
magnificent piece of work. Lyrics are excellent whereas Uttam Singh showcases his skills to the fullest here with this track. A
song, which can stay with the listeners for a longer period of time.
On the whole, the soundtrack of The Hero is plain average. Only the opening track, Dil Mein Hai Pyar is the one, a
person can hum it time and again.
