This is the story of Doctor Mukta, her happy family, the trials and tribulations it
faces and the courage and love that helps them come out as winners in a loosing battle.
Muktas family is so happy, its almost idealic. A respectable successful doctor herself,
she is totally secure in her relationship with her husband, Devdutt-also a successful lawyer.
Their bond is reflected in their two children, Rajiv, the son and Nandu, the daughter.
Love and laughter fill their lives with Devdutts easy and jolly disposition and an
equally colourful persona of Haribhai-their Man Friday.
Everything seems just too good to be true...of course there are tensions that create
emotional ups and downs, especially her sons relationship with Hema. But Mukta is both
firm and affectionate, caring and giving, and the crisis only brings them closer to each
other.
Until the calamity! Everything changes suddenly and Mukta is alone fighting a battle she
knows none before her has ever won. But she has to, for her husbands sake, for her sons
sake, her own sake and above all for the sake of Nandu, her beloved daughter.
1Nandu - the apple of everyones eye. It was impossible for Mukta to imagine a house
without her funfilled, buoyant, exuberant presence...to imagine a life without her...
what would happen to Devdutt if he knew about it? Would he survive the shock? And her son...
who had atlast found his happiness- could she take it all away from him in one blow?
She had to fight this alone- at all costs, and she did...
But a, family, which truly is bound by the bonds not just of blood but of love, senses
without everything being said. Her behavior is the radar that sets off the signals.
Mukta, firm as the Rock of Gibraltar suddenly flowing like the Ganges???
And when they find out, her family rallies around her-she is alone no more...
They are all with her including her daughter, Nandu, and her boyfriend Jaysinh.
Caring, sharing, loving...
Of course the outcome of the battle remains uncertain, but what makes them all winners
certainly is the way they fight it. The courage, the strength, the love, the warmth...
It is sheer poetry... an end that makes the onlookers leave with tears in their eyes
and a glow in the heart.
