About Govind Nihalani
Graduate in Cinematography. Photographed 12 feature films and a number of documentaries and commercials before directing the first feature film 'AAKROSH" (Cry of the wounded) which was awarded the Golden Peacock at the International Film Festival of India (1981). Served as second unit director-cinematographer on Richard Attenhorough's 'GANDHI'. Directed and photographed 13 feature films, many of which have participated in a number of International Film Festivals, won several national & international awards including the award for the Best Director at the 9th Damascus International Film Festival. Served as a member of the International Jury at Montreal and Pyong Yong Film Festivals.
