This week’s major release is going to be Dharma Productions’ HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIA. The Varun-Alia starrer is expected to open big due to popular music and the two lead stars, who are hot amongst the youth brigade. The other release of the week, Vinay Arts’ MUNNA MANGE MEMSAAB is not expected to achieve anything at the ticket window.
Last week’s two releases, Vidya Balan’s BOBBY JASOOS and EROS International and Illuminati Films’ LEKAR HUM DEEWANA DIL, could not make a mark at the box-office. Comparatively speaking, BOBBY JASOOS fared much better netting around 7.75 crore while LEKAR HUM DEEWANA DIL saw a dismal 2 crore, during the opening weekend.

The film is also doing very well in the overseas grossing £ 180,000 from UK and $680,000 from the US, till the second weekend (4-6 July).
Meanwhile after a good opening week Vashu Bhagnani’s Sajid Khan directed HUMSHAKALS crashed badly in the second week, more so due to the EK VILLAIN tsunami. The film has fared reasonably in the overseas grossing £ 225,000 from UK and $415,000 from the US till the third weekend (4-6 July).
Concluding with Vipul Shah’s A. R. Murugadoss directed Akshay-Sonakshi starrer, HOLIDAY – A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY, the film saw another reasonable week as it collected 50 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 20 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 4.50 lakhs from Surat, 4 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 3 lakhs from Rajkot, 10.15 lakhs from Pune, 1.75 lakhs from Nasik, 1 lakh from Goa, 25 lakhs from Delhi city, 5.15 lakhs from Noida, 3.50 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 4 lakhs from Kanpur, 5 lakhs from Lucknow, 4 lakhs from Gurgaon, 3.50 lakhs from Chandigarh, 1.15 lakhs from Jalandhar, 5 lakhs from Calcutta, 1.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 2 lakhs from Nagpur, 2 lakhs from Raipur, 5.50 lakhs from Indore, 1.50 lakhs from Bhopal, 7 lakhs from Jaipur, 4 lakhs from Udaipur, 1 lakh from Hyderabad and 2.50 lakhs from Bangalore. The film has done very well in the overseas grossing $4m with £255,000 from UK and $850,000 from the US.
