Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 10 Oct 2019


The major release of the coming Friday is Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim venture, THE SKY IS PINK . While the select multiplex audience may patronise the film but by and large WAR will be too hot for THE SKY IS PINK to handle.

Checking out one of the biggest projects of the second half of 2019, Yash Raj Films’ Gandhi Jayanti extravaganza, the Siddharth Anand directed WAR, starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vani Kapoor, the film continued it’s splendid run, crossing the 200 crore mark during the first 7-days itself. The first extended week appears to be heading for a 225 crore plus total. It is now certain that WAR will end up as a super hit, despite it’s heavy costs.

WAR has also rocked the overseas (superb in US)  grossing $7m with £255,000 from UK and $2,115,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (4-6 October).

DREAM GIRL has also impressed in the overseas grossing over $4m with £310,000 from UK and $2,200,000 from the US, till the fourth weekend (4-6 October).

Adding another 15 crore, CHHICHHORE has netted 145 crore in four weeks from India and is a super hit. The film is also an overseas success (hit in US) grossing $3.25m with  £235,000 from UK and $1,925,000  from the US till the fifth weekend (4-6 October).
