After two weeks of small or delayed releases, this Friday will see two big films, the Prakash Jha directed AARAKSHAN and Vikram Bhatt?s PHHIR. Though the front runner is expected to be the Amitabh, Saif, Manoj and Deepika starrer AARAKSHAN but the film may face release hassles (already banned in UP) in some states, thereby spoiling its chances.

But on the flip side, controversies can also enhance the curiosity value as well as the commercial prospects. The other release, the Rajneesh, Adah and Roshni starrer PHHIR comes from the Vikram Bhatt stable that already boasts of two hits – 1920 and HAUNTED, from the same thriller/suspense genre and so will surely get its loyal audience.

All the releases of last week, CHALA MUSSADDI-OFFICE OFFICE, I AM KALAM and WARNING, failed to cut much ice with the audience. However I AM KALAM saw a good start in Delhi city due to patronage from schools and if that happens in other circuits too (we hope so) the film may surprise.
