The big release of this week is none other than Zoya Akhtar's Hrithik, Farhan, Abhay, Katrina and Kalki starrer, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA. Shot lavishly across Spain and also India, the film has really upped the publicity ante during the last week and is expected to commence on a good start, more so at city multiplexes and a list cities.

The super opening of the 13 crore (inclusive of all costs) MURDER 2 took one and all by surprise as apparently there seemed no real hype for the film or its music. However, as always the audience had different plans and patronized the film in a big way with weekend netting in excess of 22 crores! The film though has not found favor with the overseas audience grossing just ?42,000 from UK during the opening weekend (8-10 July). As things stand today, the Emraan Hashmi starrer MURDER 2 is on way to be a big hit (Emraan's biggest solo hit!), how big only time will tell.

The other release of the week, CHILLAR PARTY, failed to make a mark and was rejected from the first show, though a slight pickup was noticed in certain cinemas of Mumbai circuit on Saturday.
