The coming Friday will witness a host of releases including T-Series’ Emraan Hashmi starrer WHY CHEAT INDIA, Pahlaj Nihalani’s Govinda venture RANGEELA RAJA, BOMBAIRIYA featuring Radhika Apte, Avinash Dhyani’s 72 HOURS and last but not the least Saurabh Shrivastava directed Arshad Warsi starrer FRAUD SAIYAAN. As is obvious, the multiple releases will cut into each other but as far as the pole position is concerned WHY CHEAT INDIA is likely to relegate FRAUD SAIYAAN to the second spot and the rest will lag behind.
This week’s two prominent releases, Bohra Bros. Pvt Ltd and Pen India Ltd’s Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER and Ronnie Screwvala’s URI- THE SURGICAL STRIKE , performed quite contrary to expectations. From the first day itself it was Vickey Kaushal’s URI that dominated Anupam Kher’s THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER and as the days progressed it was a one horse race. At the end of the fifth day URI had netted 55 crore while TAPM stood at 15 crore. While URI is now sure to end up as a super hit, THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER may finish as a below average fare.

One can’t help but mention and conclude with the dubbed KGF : CHAPTER I, which has netted 36 crore at the end of the third week and the Hindi version is a surprise semi-hit.
