This week's solo release is going to be Anil Sharma's Salman Khan and Zarine Khan starrer, VEER. Based of some good 'wide canvas' promotion, melodious music and curiosity factor, VEER, is expected to embark on a healthy start, more so at single screens.

Last Friday's Ken Ghosh directed Shahid-Genelia starrer, CHANCE PE DANCE, failed to appeal to the audience, as we had feared. Released at 96 cinemas of Bombay-Thane (by UTV Motion Pictures) the film saw a so-so start. Outside of Bombay the opening was average at some places and dull at most others. Given the 25 crore budget and the slow to ordinary start, the prospects of CHANCE PE DANCE look bleak. The film has also been rejected in the Overseas grossing ?70,681 from UK and $117,917 from US during the opening weekend (15-17 January). The other release, Rajpal Yadav's HELLO HUM LALLANN BOL RAHE HAIN had a poor to pathetic opening and is on way to being a resounding flop.
