It is an open week as no film wants to take on even the week old DABANGG, which is still smoldering hot during the second weekend as well, across India, and very steady in most Overseas circuits.

It was the DABANGG epidemic throughout the week and it broke almost all previous box-office records in India. The first week's distributors' share in India is a total whopping 46 crores! Netting a huge 80.75 crore during its opening week in India, DABANGG is a blockbuster and will improve it's status further! The Abhinav Kashyap directed Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer is also a hit in the Overseas grossing ?570,566 from UK and $1,068,589 from US till the second weekend (17-19 September).

Meanwhile, Karan Johar's Kajol, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor starrer, WE ARE FAMILY has crashed all over. The film collected 30 lakhs from Bombay (collections from 20 cinemas unreceived), 7 lakhs from Ahmedabad (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 2 lakhs from Baroda, 1 lakh each from Rajkot and Nasik, 3.25 lakhs each from Pune and Goa, 25 lakhs from Delhi city, 5 lakhs from Noida, 3 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 4 lakhs each from Kanpur and Lucknow, 1.50 lakhs each from Agra and Allahabad, 5 lakhs from Gurgaon, 2 lakhs from Faridabad, 2.35 lakhs from Chandigarh, 1.55 lakhs from Ludhiana, 11 lakhs from Calcutta (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 1.25 lakhs each from Darjeeling, Guwahati and Siliguri, 2 lakhs from Nagpur, 1 lakh from Indore, 3 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived) , 5 lakhs from Hyderabad (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 6.65 lakhs from Bangalore and 1.10 lakhs from Kochi.

Adding another 2.45 crore, WE ARE FAMILY has netted a very ordinary 20.25 crores in two weeks from India and the makers will have to look forward to the non-theatrical rights to get into safe zones.

The film though has performed decently in the Overseas, grossing ? 603,767 from UK till the third weekend (17-19 September) and $410,876 from US, though not befitting a Karan-Kajol project.

Ending this week once again with Milan Luthria's ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, the film collected 1 lakh fom Bombay, 1.50 lakhs from Ahmedabad (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 1.15 lakhs from Delhi city and 1.20 lakhs from Lucknow. Adding a further 20 lakhs, the Ajay-Emraan starrer has ended its Indian run with 56.45 crores and a hit plus status.

Unfortunately ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI has failed in the Overseas with a gross of ?126,696 from UK.
