Last Friday saw three releases- Tips Films' Tabu – Sharman starrer, TOH BAAT PAKKI!, Pritish Nandy Communications, Chunky, Shreyas and Sadaa starrer, CLICK and the Rohit Karn Batra written, AAKHRI DECISION (with dialogues by Umair). Unfortunately, all three failed to impress at the turnstile. Surprisingly it was CLICK which dominated TOH BAAT PAKKI! while AAKHRI DECISION, with no known names to boast of and almost zero publicity, saw poor opening wherever it released. It is but obvious that all the aforementioned films are set to fail, as the audience preferred to watch the older releases, more so as it was the Valentine week
This week is going to see the psychedelic holi weekend. Not as bountiful as the Diwali or Eid period but collections definitely improve during the festival of colours. So what's on offer? Well, we have India's megastar Amitabh Bachchan teaming up with international star, Ben 'Mahatma' Kingsley in TEEN PATTI, a film that has Big B returning to the gambling table, after 1979, which saw the runaway hit, THE GREAT GAMBLER. Giving company to TEEN PATTI will be the Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone starrer, KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK. Both the films have been well promoted and boast of good cast and production values, and Bollywood will definitely look forward to its next success of the year after ISHQIYA and MY NAME IS KHAN.
