|TERI MERI KAHAANI GANGS OF WASSEYPUR|
The two releases of last week, Anurag Kashyap’s GANGS OF WASSEYPUR and Kunal Kohli’s TERI MERI KAHAANI, could not achieve anything significant at the ticket window. While GOW did pull up its act as the days progressed and thanks to the reasonable costs it will scrape through, unfortunately the same cannot be said about TMK, which failed to show any improvement. Additionally the Shahid-Kareena starrer has been sold at a very steep price to Ponty Chadha (Wave) and so it will be a sure shot loss making venture. TERI MERI KAHAANI though has done quite well in the overseas (read good in US) grossing ?190,000 from UK and $406,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (22-24 June).

The other two releases, The New Mumbai Talkies and whispering Shadows Entertainment’s QASAM SE QASAM SE and Sir JVM Movies’ CHAKRADHAAR opened to dismal houses and are expected washouts.
